MOBOCRACY...

Vandalising public property, arsoning buses and forcing all businesses to halt has been a conspicuous phenomena in India with rise in public outrage over frugal issues. Yesterday the second in command of Dera Sachkhand Ballan, Sant Ramanand got shot dead in a case of ethnic violence in Austria, Since then a spree of vandalism and destructive display of outrage is continuing in the parts of Punjab and Haryana. The protestors arsoned Kanyakumari Express at Jalandhar railway station without giving a second thought about what harm they are doing to their own country and their own people. Thanks to vigilant media which is trying to show the real face of these hooligans.
It shows the ignorance and foolishness of people protesting. Isn't it crazy that they are punishing their own people for the wrong done by people living in the other continent. Seems their mental faculties have gone bankrupt.
It is a shame to us and shows how mercurial we are when it comes to tolerance to religious issues. It is a shame to Dera Sachkhand Ballan which has failed to stop violence directed by their followers. Violence isn't a solution, it just aggravates the situation. Only love can wipe out the violence not the counter violence and vandalism. It could have been nice if dissented people could have been gone through diplomatic and legal channels to adress their resentment over the issue. It is a brazen exhibition of insanity and weakness of intellect by those who are protesting as well as other Dera leaders who exercise command over their headless followers. All violaters should be taught lesson and booked under concerned laws.
May Sant Ramanand's soul rest in peace.

why a revolution ?
As i think of changes our society has undergone for past hundred years , despite a flood of technological advances I see a gloomy, sombre picture of our society on sociological front; which has been so reclusive to the changes that still most of our laws are governed through religious texts and a great majority of people don't want to see the dream of constitution makers of uniform civil code becoming a reality.
Absurd and oppressive social customs targetted against women and other weaker sections of society are still very much prevalent. It has been a personal experience of mine ( i think I'm an unlucky one) that our education system fails to build character of people. A great deal of so called "educated" bunch of people are the one who have been ardent hardliners.
We have been talking of "reforms" from the time of Raja Ram Mohan Roy,  but does reforms are all we can do. We have to keep pace with the world or lest we will be very much like we are today; boasting of our economy when India still hosts the largest malnourished population.
To change our country for better we need a revolution on every front. Only a revolution can help us making our society a good opresssionless society.
So there is no alternative to revolution, revolution on cultural front, revolution on economic front, revolution for good governance and revolution for a happy India.
